Birmingham University Chemical Engineering Help please?
hello all, my name is raj, and i am currently in year 13 studying chemistry, physics, and maths.
i have applied for Chemical engineering at UCL, Birmingham, Nottingham, Loughborough and Manchester.
i recieved a letter from Birmingham a while back regarding an “Interview Day” on Wednesday 11th February 2009. To be honest, i was not worrying about it before, but suddenly i’ve become very nervious as i do not know what to expect. the dress code is “casual” but im still unsure of how i should be dressed for the day as we will also be doing activities.
how do these interviews work? it says the interview is 15 minutes long. i’d appreciate all the help i can get here? what kind of questions will i be asked? how can i prepare for this interview slot? and general advice please.
i dont mean to sound so crazy, but im starting to worry and could do with the advice.
thank you all
raj.
Dress casual as in t-shirt and jeans, most other people do. The interview will be with one of the personal tutors should you go there and will take place in an office behind closed doors. They ask (if I remember correctly) why you want to do the course and stuff like what do you think of campus (it’s a nice building – especially the atrium where the activities are – it’s the first floor with the chairs and coffee shop). They’ll also invite you to ask questions so make a list of what to ask.
The activities are fun if I remember them correctly you have to build a giant lego structure using only your memory in a given time limit – it’s epic fun. I’m not too sure about any other activities any more
