To what country should i move?

Im 15 and i REALLY want to get out of this country (USA) when im done with high school (im going to be done in 3 years). I know english, spanish and i am currently taking french. I want to live and study in another country. I want to be an environmental engineer. i also don’t have alot of money and i cant really depend on my family for financial support because they are poor. Any ideas?

Have you considered moving to another U.S. State? USA is a very diverse country.. Perhaps you might like California, or Massachusetts or Florida? Or Washington State? Just the top off my head.

But here are a list of countries that you will feel a lot like home in, because their lifestyles are similar to that of the USA.

Australia
Canada
New Zealand
United Kingdom (where I reside)
France (since you’re learning French)
Spain (since you know Spanish – Spain is VERY nice, I’ve been on holiday there)

So yeah, if you’re serious about immigrating. You should finish High School and get a degree at university (”college”) in Envirnomental Engineering, and then VISIT each of these countries.

If you feel you’d be more comfortable living in them, than your home country of USA, then you can apply for a permanent residency visa and move in. If you move to France/Spain/UK and become a citizen, you’ll have EU Citizenship too, so you can visit and live in ANY EU country you wish.

Think wisely, and never abandon your US citizenship if you do move, you’ll need it if you want to move back home.

EDIT – As for financial support. Presuming you mean to help with college, get a job, work hard, and save up your money. Don’t worry about this until you’re in 11th or 12th Grade though. Keep working hard, and don’t drop out.

LOL. I love how you think the USA is the only country that has opportunities, why do you think thousands of immigrants move to Canada, Australia, UK and so on, too? And ‘free health care’ isn’t all like Canada’s, but what would you know? Enjoy being in debt over your next broken arm. I guess stereotypical American ignorance really does exist.

I suppose you need to travel a bit more before you make ignorant comments like that.
