PL. DESPERATE HELP GRE Score 720Q 450 V civil engineering master??

Hi, I got 720 Q &450 V this week. I have present GRE three times. All of them an ordial…too much anxiety. I cancel scores in first one. Second one, 560Q and 400V. I recived all education in another language….
I am planning to apply Georgia tech, Texas at Austin, A&T texas and San Diego University …are my scores enough for these top 20 universities???

I’m taking the GRE next month. If you are a foreign student, they will look at your verbal scores less closely, especially if you are going for engineering. One of my friends got ‘good’ scores for verbal, but her professor said since she was an international student, they were ’sensational’. In the grad scheme of things, I’d say it probably scales your 450V up to a 550-600V, you being international. However, your quantitave scores will hurt. Many engineers get perfect scores. Apply to the schools anyway and pick some others. I am applying to many ‘out of reach’ schools. What’s the harm of being rejected?

You should also try to improve your English. No offense, but it is not good. US Graduate schools would probably prefer you to have a better grasp of English. Many of my friends are international graduate students and their English is at a college level.
